Sketchy fellow...

I suck, I haven't been drawing. I have been playing around with the graphire4 tablet I bought. I'm slowly getting better at coloring with it. Inking with it may take a significant amount of practice. Here's a GWB character. I got the head layout idea from someone else, I forget who it was. Really good cartoonist too. Someone will spot it. Oh, wait. That would mean someone actually would have to read this.

ok, I lied. More Lugo. I was looking in one of my sketch pads and found I had done an inked copy of lugo (I found the original pencil as well). Like friggin x-mas. The other fellow I copied out of Silver's first sketchbook. It sucks, but who cares, I actually did fan art. Go figure. I got the cheap-o wacom tablet, and I need much much practice. I suck with it. Better off doing the inks offline and use the tablet for scribbling in color until I get better.

I'm trying to get better at coloring

This would, of course, be easier if I tried to get better at scanning and cleaning up pencil drawings first. The irony is the copy hanging on my office wall, with shading I did in about 3 minutes, looks better than anything I've saved, or tried since. This coloring sucks, but I think I have the technique down so I can be more repeatable. Who knows how I colored the original. At least I'll promise now not to post any more Lugo the Penguin pictures.

I think I will also pick up a small Wacom tablet soon. This coloring with a mouse sucks. Big time. It's so 1992.
